Special Operational Equipment Tailored Logistics Support Contract (TLS)
As a recipient of the TLS contract, TSSi is capable of providing quality equipment and services to military commands, federal agencies and other authorized customers worldwide. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) developed and support the TLS program. This program was created as a result of DSCP's commitment to fostering partnerships between its vendors and its customers.
The TLS program was created to infuse supply chain management best practices into the procurement process of commercial goods and services to the US Government. These best practices incorporate the latest innovations in information technology, supply chain management theory, and real world experiences to provide improved customer support.
The companies chosen as TLS vendors are audited on a regular basis by the DSCP for competitive pricing, overall customer satisfaction, and promptness of delivery. The TLS contract allows customers to order specific brand name products to meet their mission requirements and to add new products to fit the scope of the TLS contract. As a component of the DLA, TLS also allows customers to use Military Standard Requisitioning & Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP) requisitions, government credit cards, and Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPR).
