TSSi Customer Appreciation Day & HPD Tactical Training Conference 2018
IS THIS EVENT FREE?
Yes, this event is for all members of Law Enforcement, Military, Fire, Emergency Services, and DoD/Federal agencies with a valid agency or military I.D. as well as those who have registered for the HPD SWAT Competition taking place October 5, 2018. There is a registration fee for teams participating in the HPD SWAT Competition collected by Harrisonburg Police Department. More details about the SWAT Competition can be found here.
WHO CAN ATTEND THIS EVENT?
This event is not open to the general public. Members of Law Enforcement, Military, Fire, Emergency Services, and DoD/Federal agencies are welcome to attend this event with a valid agency or military I.D.
WILL SPONSORS BE ATTENDING THIS EVENT?
Yes, most of the sponsors for this event will attend. Vendor product displays will open at 10am and will remain open until 6pm so there is ample time before, during, and after training sessions and other events to browse equipment on display.
WHAT TRAINING SESSIONS ARE BEING OFFERED AT THIS EVENT?
TSSi and Harrisonburg Police Department have partnered up to bring you interesting and relevant training sessions presented by industry experts! Some training sessions will be held in a classroom setting and others will be outside for the optimal hands-on experience.
Training sessions include:
Mechanical Breaching presented by Team One Network
Tactical Team Leader Training presented by Team One Network
Tactical Vehicle Intercept (TVI) presented by Fairfax Co. SWAT
HOW DO I SIGN UP TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TRAINING SESSIONS?
Sign up forms will be available at the registration area before entering the event. You must present a valid agency or military I.D. to sign up for these training sessions as well as the Las Vegas Incident Debrief.
CAN I PRE-REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT?
Yes, we highly encourage you to pre-register for this event! By pre-registering, you save time at the registration area before entering the event. You still must go through the registration area to sign in and get your event wristband before entering the event. No one will be allowed to enter the event before 10am.
WHAT DOES THE HARRISONBURG POLICE FOUNDATION DO?
They are a community-based, all volunteer 501 (c) (3) organization focused on helping make our community a safer and better environment for the citizens of Harrisonburg. They help fund and organize projects for the Harrisonburg Police Department that exist outside the scope ordinary budgetary constraints.
WILL THERE BE FOOD AVAILABLE AT THIS EVENT?
Yes, there will be a few food trucks available around lunch time for attendees to purchase food. If you are participating in the HPD SWAT Competition, you are invited to stay for the evening reception beginning at 6:30pm where the SWAT Competition Opening Ceremony followed by dinner and raffle drawings will take place.
