The 8th Annual Katz's Deli Lunch for the Wounded was a great success on Saturday, June 6, with donations from over 23 vendors and individuals, countless volunteers, and a delicious catered lunch by Katz's Delicatessen of New York, New York. The lunch took place on the beautiful campus of the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and was coordinated by the Air Warrior Courage Foundation and TSSi.
A group of TSSi employees and family members departed from TSSi early the morning of July 6th with giveaway items and toiletries for wounded military members and their families that would attend the event. We would like to thank the following sponsors for their donations.
In addition to giveaways, there was a large donation of toiletries donated by Price and Diane Richardson and their friends of Roanoke, Virginia, for personnel and residents of the WRNMMC. This donation is especially vital to family members of the personnel who must provide their own toiletries while staying at the facility.
A special thank-you to another notable donor, Katz’s Delicatessen, who provided the luncheon meal of their finest deli sandwiches to satisfy the hungry crowd of military families and volunteers alike. The atmosphere at this event was almost electric with raffle giveaways announced while guests enjoyed their meal.
Thank you to all who made this year’s event possible. A special thanks goes the Air Warrior Courage Foundation, the volunteers, and all of the vendors, organizations and individuals that provided donations.
